Here's what's in store at the library in the coming weeks.

Wed. May 16, 11:00-12:00 p.m: Introduction to the Internet. Learn how to get online! Call (818) 343-1983 to sign up.

Wed. May 16, 1:00-2:30 p.m: Friends of Library Open Board Meeting. Everyone welcome! Call (818) 343-1983 to confirm.

Thurs. May 17, 4:00-5:00 p.m: Teen Council. Help plan your Library Branch Events and have some input about what materials the Library offers to teens. Co-sponsored by Friends of the Library.

Tues. May 22, 4:00-5:00 p.m: Storytime for children and families.

Weds. May 23, 4:00-5:30 p.m: Friends of Library History & Politics Book Club. Exploring the causes of war: Select and read a book about the American Revolution and come prepared for a lively discussion.

Thurs. May 24, 5:30-6:30 p.m: Book Lovers Book Club. A discussion of Stones into Schools: Promoting Peace With Books, Not Bombs, in Afghanistan and Pakistan by Greg Mortenson.

Sat. May 26, 2:00-4:00 p.m: Last Saturday of the Month Poetry - Come listen to an eclectic group of poets. All are invited to participate. Read a classic poem or your own poetry. Each reader will have six minutes.

Mon. May 28: The Library is closed for Memorial Day.

Weds. May 30, 3:00-5:00 p.m: A Persian movie screening of No Men Allowed.
