
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County fell today for the 25th consecutive day, dropping six-tenths of a cent to $3.648, the lowest amount since Feb. 24.
The average price is 7.2 cents less than one week ago and 22.1 cents lower than a month ago but 45.8 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price has dropped 21.8 cents over the past 25 days, including nine-tenths of a cent on Sunday.

The decreasing prices are the result of lower demand, which is typical for the fall, according to Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California.
The cheapest places to fill your tank are the Arco at 15711 Victory Blvd (at Haskell Avenue), the Thrifty at 6810 Sepulveda Blvd (at Vanowen Street), United Oil at 7204 Van Nuys Blvd (at Sherman Way), and the Costco at 6100 Sepulveda Blvd (at Erwin Street). Gas at all four stations is just $3.49 a gallon, according to GasBuddy.com.
