Van Nuys, CA – March 1, 2023 - The Masons of Clarence F. Smith Daylight Lodge No. 866 have now begun their 2023 Public Awareness Campaign. The Campaign culminates with an Information Meeting/Open House on June 10, 2023, 10:30AM.

As member David I. Karp explains (paraphrasing the Grand Master of Masons in California), “The purpose of the campaign, including the open house, is to raise awareness of Freemasonry in the community, to inform what membership in Masonry means, to counter negative assumptions about the fraternity, and to illuminate the good works of Masons.”

The Lodge’s Information Meeting/Open House will be held on June 10, 2023, 10:30AM, at the Van Nuys Masonic Center, at 14750 Sherman Way, Van Nuys, CA 91405 (just East of Kester Ave.). There is no charge for this event; on the other hand, the Lodge has an ongoing Elementary School (K-5) Children’s Book Drive, so a new book or two as a donation is requested, although not required. Business attire please. For more information about this event, or to RSVP, contact David I. Karp, Event Chair, at davidikarp@karpmediation.com or 818-515-9361.
