A person nearly drowned in a swimming pool in Encino this afternoon, the fire department reported. Paramedics were called to the 5400 block of North White Oak Avenue at 1:07 p.m. and took the patient to a hospital, said the Los Angeles Fire Department's Matt Spence. The gender and condition of the unidentified person were not immediately available.

A person nearly drowned in a swimming pool in Encino this afternoon, the fire department reported.

Paramedics were called to the 5400 block of North White Oak Avenue at 1:07 p.m. and took the patient to a hospital, said the Los Angeles Fire Department's Matt Spence. The gender and condition of the unidentified person were not immediately available.

The person involved was taken to hospital after the incident, according to the LAFD.
