Police Blotter: Burglaries, 2 Assaults and a Car Theft

The following crimes in Encino were reported to the Los Angeles Police Department during Oct. 19-25, as compiled by the Los Angeles Times.

Oct. 19

A petty theft was reported at 8 a.m. in the 15700 block of Ventura Boulevard.

A petty theft was reported at 11 a.m. in the 15700 block of Ventura Boulevard.

A burglary was reported at 1 p.m. in the 5700 block of Lindley Avenue.

A burglary was reported at 1:20 p.m. in the 4300 block of Hayvenhurst Avenue.

A grand theft was reported at 3 p.m. in the 16600 block of Magnolia Boulevard.

An assault with a deadly weapon was reported at 3:45 p.m. in the 15600 block of Castlewoods.

A burglary from a vehicle was reported at 6 p.m. in the 15500 block of Huston Street.

Oct. 20

A burglary was reported at 6:05 p.m. in the 4900 block of Rubio Avenue.

A stolen vehicle was reported at 7 p.m. in the 5400 block of White Oak Avenue.

A burglary from a vehicle was reported at 10 p.m. at the intersection of Zelzah Avenue and Burbank Boulevard.

Oct. 21

A burglary was reported at 11 a.m. in the 5800 block of Lindley Avenue.

A shoplifting (petty) was reported at 5:20 p.m. in the 15900 block of Ventura Boulevard.

A burglary from a vehicle was reported at 6 p.m. in the 4900 block of Rupert Avenue.

A petty theft from a vehicle was reported at 9 p.m. at the intersection of Ventura Boulevard and Louise Avenue.

Oct. 22

A burglary from a vehicle was reported at 6:50 a.m. at the intersection of Burbank and Balboa boulevards.

A burglary from a vehicle was reported at 11 a.m. at the intersection of Mulholland and Encino Hills drives.

A burglary from a vehicle was reported at 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of White Oak Avenue and Victory Boulevard.

Oct. 23

A grand theft was reported at 12:30 a.m. in the 5500 block of Mclennan Avenue.

A grand theft was reported at 5 p.m. in the 16700 block of Morrison Street.

Oct. 24

An attempted burglary was reported at 6 a.m. in the 4500 block of White Oak Avenue.

A burglary was reported at 5 p.m. in the 15400 block of Huston Street.

A burglary from a vehicle was reported at 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Balboa and Burbank boulevards.

A burglary and a prowler were reported at 8:20 p.m. in the 15600 block of Royal Woods Place.

A burglary from a vehicle was reported at 9 p.m. in the 6000 block of Zelzah Avenue.

Oct. 25

An assault with a deadly weapon was reported at 11:20 a.m. in the 4900 block of Rubio Avenue.
