San Fernando Valley Young Democrats Endorse Berman

Congressman Howard Berman scored a highly coveted endorsement recently from the San Fernando Valley Young Democrats (SFVYD).

“San Fernando Valley Young Democrats is proud to offer our enthusiastic endorsement to Congressman Howard Berman’s re-election campaign,” said Mike Young, President of SFVYD. “In his many years representing the San Fernando Valley, Congressman Berman has proven himself to be a fighter for all Valley voters and an advocate for the issues that matter most to Young Democrats. We are proud to endorse a Congressman with a singular ability to get things done in Washington and plan to do what it takes to ensure that Congressman Berman is returned to Washington as the next representative from California’s new 30^th Congressional District.”

Founded in 1994 by State Senator Alex Padilla, Los Angeles City Councilmember Tony Cardenas, and others, the San Fernando Valley Young Democrats today serves as the premiere Democratic organization for young professionals in the San Fernando Valley.

“I am honored and very grateful to have the endorsement of the San Fernando Valley Young Democrats,” said Congressman Berman. “SFVYD represents the best in our democracy; engaged activists working for the greater benefit of their community. The San Fernando Valley Young Democrats are the largest Young Democrats Chapter in the San Fernando Valley and one of the most influential organizations in the State dedicated to promoting activism in state and local politics.

Today’s endorsement adds to Congressman Berman’s recent winning streak of endorsements including Congressmen Adam Schiff and Henry Waxman as well as with 22 members of the California Congressional Delegation, Senators Boxer and Feinstein, Governor Jerry Brown, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, along with SEIU, IATSE, AFSCME and thousands of community endorsers from across the 30^th Congressional District.
