Tonight! 'Artrageous Artwalk' in Canoga Park
This free monthly event, happens today, and on the third Thursday of every month, 6 to 10 p.m.

11:11, a creative collective, the Canoga Park Improvement Association and the Art Officials continue to bring the community to life with the Canoga Park Summertime Artrageous Artwalk. The free monthly event stretches from 6-10 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month, with July through September remaining (7/19, 8/16, 9/20).
This Thursday, July 19, marks the third installment and brings a fantastic theme to the 11:11 galleries: 80’s Toys! Look for the innovative Etch-A-Sketch wall and plenty of other memory-inducing creations.
The walk takes place within the Canoga Park Historic Old Town Center along the Sherman Way Corridor and adjacent side-streets (one block West of Topanga Canyon Boulevard to one block East of Canoga Avenue to one block North of Sherman Way to one block South of Sherman Way).

The scope of the event includes several pop-up style galleries, live music inside and out, an eclectic assortment of local vendors and artisans, gourmet food trucks, wine and cheese, and a neighborhood coming fully to life.
To date, these events have been widely recognized successes throughout the community, demonstrating what is possible with the strength of the partnering organizations, the creativity and caliber of art and musicianship, and the embrace and participation of local businesses in the diverse business and arts district.

While the San Fernando Valley may not be historically regarded as the City of Los Angeles’ primary bastion for taking in the arts, the deep desire and all of the elements to build such an event were evidently bubbling under the surface all along. And with the now-open extension of the Metro Orange Line, much more of the Valley and beyond is more easily connected to this family-friendly event.
The CPIA and 11:11 A Creative Collective are extremely grateful to A+ Educational Centers, a provider of after school educational support services to K-12 students, for their contribution of the four spaces which are turned into 11:11ACC’s temporary galleries. These spaces, which are available for lease and are centrally located in the Historic Downtown Canoga Park, have been a tremendous asset to the success of the artwalk. For more leasing information, contact Mrs. Valdman at 310-457-7657.
Founded in 2009, 11:11 A Creative Collective has independently produced over a dozen art events in the community with the commitment to help the San Fernando Valley become a strong and independent artistic community that will develop as a thriving and accessible destination for those seeking an innovative and unique artistic experience.
Coming in August, 11:11 rolls out its latest concept: ‘Heads Will Roll’. Dozens of Valley artists will be provided a styrofoam mannequin head and asked to create something uniquely magical. How will everyone use their heads? Stay tuned.
