Update: Wednesday Night's 405 Closure Canceled

Metro cancels work on installing a sewer pipe along the Skirball Bridge previously scheduled to begin Wednesday night.

Update: Metro's scheduled closure of all 405 southbound lanes between the 101 freeway andGetty Center Drive has been canceled.

All southbound lanes of the 405 Freeway will be closed to traffic Wednesday and Thursday from 12 a.m. - 5 a.m. between Highway 101 and Getty Center Drive as Metro begins work on installing a sewer pipe along the Skirball Bridge, according to Metro.

Ramps could begin to close as early as 7 p.m. Wednesday. Southbound lanes will start shutting down at 10 p.m.

During the construction, Sepulveda Boulevard will remain open. Skirball Bridge will stay closed each day from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., according to Metro.
