Valley Masonic Lodge Begins Collecting Hygiene Kits for Unhoused Kids
Supporting public education is a primary charitable endeavor of California Freemasons. The Lodge is supporting LAUSD in this collection.

Clarence F. Smith Daylight Lodge No. 866, Free and Accepted Masons of California, which meets in Van Nuys, has begun collecting Hygiene Kits for the benefit of children served by the Los Angeles Unified School District’s Homeless Education Program.
This effort supports the Lodge’s charitable goals, its care for public education, its commitment to public awareness of the fraternity, and its endeavors to improve the world.
Masons and the public may contribute by making and dropping-off, at the Lodge, assembled hygiene kits consisting of travel-size shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, dental floss, body soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, brush/comb, preferably in a large zip lock bag for a student in need.

Freemasonry is the world’s first and largest fraternal organization, based on the belief that a man who strives to improve himself can also improve his community and the world at large.
Masons have championed public education in California since the 19th century.
The Lodge meets on the first and third Saturdays of the month, in the mornings, upstairs, at the Van Nuys Masonic Center, 14750 Sherman Way, Van Nuys, CA 91405. https://clarencefsmith.org/ .
