What's So Miraculous About Encino's Miracle Mile? [VIDEO]

One former Encino resident questions her love-hate relationship with her old neighborhood.

A New York Times online oped contributor, Katie J.M. Baker, turned her gaze to Encino Wednesday, and reflected on her time growing up in the neighborhood.

Subjects covered by Baker included the "Miracle Mile" sign at the Commons: how it got to be there in the first place, and why it's still there, despite opposition; the Neighborhood Council; ; former celebrity residents like Clark Gable; and Frank and Moon Unit Zappa's "Valley Girl", which has less than complimentary things to say about Encino (see the video above.)
