SAN MARCOS, CA -- A driver was arrested Monday afternoon after apparently crashing into a sidewalk in a North County residential neighborhood. The driver, who was in the car with two young children and another adult, sped through a roundabout before crashing into the sidewalk on Rock Springs Road near Woodland Parkway in San Marcos, authorities said.
Authorities were called to the scene around 2 p.m. when they arrested the driver who they believe was driving under the influence, said San Diego County Sheriff's Deputy Kevin Price.
The adult passenger in the car was detained, while the children, including an infant, were picked up by a relative. No one was injured, Price said.
