A Night to Celebrate Sheryl Sorem

The annual Night to Celebrate Sheryl Sorem held at the North Ridge Country Club in Fair Oaks, CA on Saturday, October 19, 2024 raised $50,000 to benefit Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation (NETRF).

Sheryl had an uncommon type of cancer called “Metastatic Neuroendocrine Cancer.” Neuroendocrine cancer affects over 175,000 people in the U.S., and its incidence is increasing. The disease is challenging to diagnose, with an average delay of 5 to 7 years due to its ability to develop in various organs and produce nonspecific symptoms. Once diagnosed, many only have a few months to live as Sheryl did. The Night to Celebrate Sheryl Sorem events honor her memory by raising funds to discover cures and more effective treatments for neuroendocrine cancers through NETRF. https://www.advocateforsheryl.com/
