• Fontana scholars earn AP Capstone diplomas, college credit (fontanaheraldnews.com) — Fontana Unified students are racking up major college-ready credentials, with 34 earning AP Capstone diplomas and six more receiving AP Seminar and Research Certificates in 2024-25. Offered at Kaiser and Summit high schools, the rigorous two-year program builds advanced research, writing, and critical thinking skills, helping local graduates gain college credit and admission to top universities nationwide.

• Appleberry Juice Contaminated With Cleaning Fluid Sparks Recall Warning (newsweek.com) — Fontana schools are among those that received Hollandia Dairy’s 100% Appleberry Juice, now under FDA Class II recall because it may be contaminated with a corrosive cleaning solution. No illnesses have been reported, but schools are urged not to serve the juice and to dispose of any affected cartons immediately.
• Fontana boys water polo team makes CIF Championship (fontanaheraldnews.com) — Fontana High School’s boys water polo team has captured its first-ever CIF Division 5 championship, capping years of San Andreas League dominance with a 15-11 title win over Baldwin Park. Led by senior standout Matthew Zubiate and a tight-knit senior squad, the Steelers combined strong conditioning and mental toughness to power through five CIF rounds as the school prepares to retire its 70-year-old pool.
