• Sierra Nevada Conservancy approves nearly $4.6 million in wildfire resilience grants (calaverasenterprise.com) — New state bond funding is helping pay for new fuel breaks designed to protect Forest Ranch, Cohasset, and Chico from future wildfires, including in the Park Fire burn area. Nearly $4.6 million in Sierra Nevada Conservancy grants will fund “shovel‑ready” fuels‑reduction projects in Butte, Mono, and Madera counties, with more money expected for additional wildfire resilience work.
