An 18-year-old Foster City will go to trial in June for allegedly entering female victims' rooms late at night and attempting to assault them.

Justin Shing, who is out of custody on $100,000 bail bond, appeared in San Mateo County Superior Court on Friday and pleaded not guilty to the crimes, according to the district attorney's office.

A judge granted Shing a long setting so Shing can complete his semester at University of California, Riverside, and set his trial date for June 24, a day before Shing turns 19, prosecutors said.

Shing was arrested on Aug. 25 at about 3:10 a.m., on suspicion of residential burglary, according to the Foster City Police Department.

Prosecutors say Shing is responsible for at least two other incidents involving breaking in or peeping into a victim's bedroom.

He pleaded not guilty Friday to charges of residential burglary, peeping, sexual battery and possession of burglary tools, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office.

In the first incident, Shing is accused of looking in the window of a 17-year-old female neighbor at 2 a.m.; in the second case, he allegedly entered the same girl's bedroom past midnight while she was sleeping, pulled back her comforter and masturbated over her.

According to prosecutors, the third incident -- which led to Shing's arrest -- involved Shing being found in the room of a 9-year-old girl at about 3 a.m.

The girl's father found Shing in his daughter's room, staring at her bed, prosecutors said. The father grabbed Shing and called police.

Shing has been ordered to have no contact with the victims.
