Cockroaches Close Japanese Restaurant
Fountain Valley's Izakaya Ku was recently closed after county health inspectors found cockroaches inside the restaurant.

Izakaya Ku in Fountain Valley was recently closed temporarily by county health officials after inspectors found cockroaches inside the restaurant.
During a routine inspection on April 24, Izakaya Ku was cited with one major health violation for cockroach infestation, and five minor health violations. According to the health report, inspectors found two dead adult cockroaches, several dead nymph cockroaches under the microwave, sink and a rice steamer among other signs of cockroaches.

Izakaya Ku was later allowed to reopen after a follow-up inspection.
