One Person Injured in HB Fire

The fire on Tamaru Drive also displaces in four units that caught fire.

A fire in a fourplex in Huntington Beach Monday displaced people in all four units, and one person was sent to a hospital.

Firefighters were called to 8391 Tamaru Drive at 2:32 p.m., said Deputy Fire Marshal Bob Culhane of the Huntington Beach Fire Department.

Firefighters were hampered by electrical wires that fell on one side of the building, but the fire was brought under control in about a half-hour.

The condition of the person taken to UCI Irvine Medical Center was not known.

The Red Cross will help the displaced tenants find housing.
