A woman was arrested Monday at Huntington State Beach on suspicion of stabbing her boyfriend and spraying him with pepper spray, police said.
Police got a report of someone stabbed on the state beach near Tower 28 about 2:45 p.m., Huntington Beach police Lt. John Domingo said.
A 23-year-old woman suspected in the attack fled in a vehicle, but police in a helicopter tracked her east on Goldenwest street, and an officer pulled her over at Beach Boulevard, Domingo said.
The woman was arrested without a struggle, Domingo said. Her name was
unavailable late this afternoon.
The two got into "some sort of altercation,'' and she allegedly stabbed
and attacked him with pepper spray, Domingo said.
The victim, whose name was withheld, was taken to a hospital, but he was expected to be OK, he said.
