3 Killed In Crash On I-880 In Fremont: Police

The cause of the collision was under investigation, police said.

FREMONT, CA — Three people were killed in an early morning crash Sunday on Interstate 880 in Fremont, according to police.

Law enforcement responded shortly before 6 a.m. to the northbound interstate at the Warren Avenue overcrossing, where a vehicle with three occupants had struck a concrete barrier, police said. All three people died of their injuries, according to police, who said the cause of the collision was under investigation.

The Warren Avenue northbound interstate on ramp was closed during the response, but impact to traffic was minimal, police said.
