Applications Close Monday For 126 'Deeply Affordable Apartments'

Income restrictions go as high as $54,500 per year for singles and $77,850 for four person households. Studios to 3-bedrooms are available.

FREMONT, CA — Applications are currently open and will close at 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 9 for 126 "deeply affordable homes for families and individuals" in Fremont. You do not need to be a current resident of Fremont to apply.

The apartments range from studios to 3-bedroom apartments.

Income requirements are based on the number of household members. A single person can earn as much as $54,500 per year. Two person households may earn as much as $62,300. It increases to $70,100 for three people. And $77,850 for four. See the full chart online.

The apartments are available in Bell Street Gardens, located at the corner of Bell Street and Mowry Avenue. Construction is currently underway on the project and consists of 79 renovated apartments and 49 newly constructed apartments, as well as two managers’ apartments.

The majority of the apartments are studios. Here is a full accounting of what's available:

  • 54 studios
  • 36 one-bedrooms
  • 24 2-bedrooms
  • 12 3-bedrooms

Residents will enjoy two multi-purpose community rooms with a kitchenette and space for community events, a fitness room, an exterior courtyard, on-site property management, and supportive services programming.

The neighborhood provides access to shopping, parks, transit and other amenities.

Applications are being accepted through Resources for Community Development (RCD), a local nonprofit housing developer.
