Armed Robber Steals Fremont Man's Wallet, Cellphone

FREMONT, CA — A male victim lost a cellphone and wallet in an armed robbery Monday in Fremont, police said. The robbery occurred shortly before 2:20 p.m. near the intersection of Pepys Way and Guardino Drive.

The victim was walking to a bus stop near Walnut Avenue and Guardino Drive when a suspect approached him from behind, according to police. The victim turned to see who was behind him and the suspect
pointed a handgun at him. The suspect took the victim's Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge phone and his wallet, police said.

The robber ran west on Pepys Way and a second suspect picked him up in a white four-door vehicle with tinted windows. Police described the robber as a black man who is between 20 and 23 years old and 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall with a skinny build, short curly hair and facial hair.

He was last seen wearing dark pants and a gray short-sleeved T-shirt. Police do not have a description of the person who picked up the robber.
