Fremont Native Appointed Sacramento County Judge

Alyson Huber, who was born in Fremont, will serve as a Sacramento County Superior Court Judge, receiving a $178,789 salary.

The newest Sacramento County Superior Court judge is Alyson Huber, who, according to media reports, was born in Fremont.

Huber, now an El Dorado Hills resident, previously served as a State Assembly Member who represented Elk Grove, Rosemont, Carmichael and other areas in the state's 10th district.

She was appointed to the job by Gov. Jerry Brown. She did not run for re-election in 2012.

SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the appointment of Alyson L. Huber to a judgeship in the Sacramento County Superior Court.

Huber, 40, of El Dorado Hills, served as an assemblymember for the 10th District of the State of California from 2008 to 2012. She was an associate at Bartko Zankel Tarrant and Miller from 2003 to 2008 and an associate at Oppenheimer Wolff and Donnelly LLP from 2000 to 2003. Huber was an associate at Phillips and Spallas LLP from 1999 to 2000. She earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University. She fills the vacancy created by the conversion of a court commissioner position on March 19, 2012. Huber is a Democrat. 

The compensation for this position is $178,789.
