FREMONT, CA — Connie Bush shared this wonderful photo of a Monarch butterfly in her front yard in the Mission San Jose area of Fremont. Connie told Patch in an email, "It is the 10th and last Monarch to emerge in the last month."

If you would like to draw Monarch butterflies to your yard, plant Milkweed, the host plant for caterpillars, along with flowers, bushes or trees that provide blossoms with nectar, a favorite of adult butterflies. Read more about Monarch butterflies, their life cycles, migration and more.

Thank you for submitting your photo, Connie.
