New Affordable Senior Apartments In Fremont

Join the lottery list for the affordable apartments planned for October move-in. Here are the income requirements, rents, deadline.

FREMONT, CA — A brand new affordable housing development of senior apartments is expected to open in October, and a lottery list is now open for 44 of the 90 units.

Named the Doug Ford Senior Apartments, the development is at 4038 Irvington Ave. in Fremont. The age requirement is 55 years or older.

Household Size/Annual Gross Income

  • 1 person $50,000
  • 2 people $57,150
  • 3 people $64,300
  • 4 people $71,400
  • 5 people $77,150

The projected rent for one bedroom apartments is $979 to $1,223 per month, while for two bedrooms it will be $1,175 to $1,468.

Applications are due by 5 p.m. on June 15 and can be submitted online via the Alameda County Housing Portal. The apartments will not be assigned on a first come, first served, but will be available by lottery.

The complex includes a community room, computer lab, on-site manager, and other resident services.

Several of the units are designated for the homeless.
