The 126 unit Bell Street Gardens development is expected to break ground this summer.
FREMONT, CA — The final piece of funding to transform a Fremont motel and two vacant lots into 126 units of affordable housing for low-income individuals and families has been secured.
Residents who are interested in renting a unit at the Bell Street Gardens project or any affordable housing in Fremont need to sign up for the City’s Affordable Housing Interest List. The interest list includes three choices:
- Affordable Housing Interest List - for adults and families
- First Time Homebuyer Program Interest List - for below market price homes
- Senior Affordable Housing Interest List
The upcoming transformation of the former Islander Motel and two vacant lots is possible due to $44 million in funding from the State Housing Accelerator program.
