Former Fresno congressman TJ Cox has been sentenced to 1 year in federal prison, his attorney says (abc30.com) — A former Fresno-area congressman has been sentenced in Fresno to just over a year in federal prison after pleading guilty to wire fraud tied to financial dealings that included the Granite Park project in Central Fresno. The judge described his actions as sophisticated and intricate, while his attorney framed the punishment as a “fall from grace” and a “home run” compared with what Cox could have faced.
   

3. How could Trump's potential marijuana policy change affect Fresno? Police search for man who pushed woman out of car in Fresno before crash (fresnobee.com) — Fresno police are searching for a man who allegedly shoved a woman from the driver’s seat during a traffic stop, rammed a patrol car, then sped off and later crashed near Highway 41 and Jensen. Officers say he fled on foot, left behind a loaded gun, and caused minor injuries to another driver, and they’re asking residents to share any tips.
