Bank Robbery Suspect Sought in String of Robberies Across SGV

GLENDORA, CA - Police on Wednesday sought the public's help in locating a man who robbed two Citibank branches in the Southland and tried to hold up a third location over a five-day period.

The first heist occurred in Glendora about 4:50 p.m. on Feb. 29. The suspect entered the Citibank at 401 E. Arrow Highway and handed the teller a demand note that stated he had a gun, though no weapon was seen, the Glendora Police Department reported.

The teller handed him an undisclosed amount of cash, and he left the bank.

At 12:41 p.m. last Friday, the same suspect entered a Citibank in Placentia, at 1300 N. Kraemer Blvd., and presented a similar note that stated he had a gun. He again left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Four hours later, he entered a Citibank in Arcadia, at 100 S. First Ave. and handed the teller a similar note stating he had a gun, but left empty- handed when the teller fled to the back of the bank.

The suspect was described as white, 5-foot-10 and 130 pounds, with green eyes and a scar on his right eyelid.
