Bomb Threat At Azusa Target Under Investigation

The bomb threat was sent into the Azusa store Friday morning and led to a closure of the surrounding area.

AZUSA, CA — Authorities are investigating a bomb threat reported at a Target in Azusa on Friday morning.

The Azusa Police Department did not find any explosives in the area.

The bomb threat was reported before 10 a.m. at the Target near Azusa Avenue and Ninth Street, according to Azusa police. The threat led to the closure of the surrounding area, including the Azusa Intermodal Transit Center.

Several bus lines were re-routed to and from the center as a result of the threat, according to Foothill Transit.

The area was reopened around 10:45 a.m. after officers gave the all-clear, the police department said.
