The Broad Art Museum Will Offer Free Admission
The nearly 2,000 works of art encompass "one of the world's leading collections of masterworks of postwar and contemporary art."

Philanthropists Eli and Edythe Broad announced that the contemporary art museum bearing their names will not charge for admission after it opens in downtown L.A. on Sept. 20.
The museum at 221. S. Grand Avenue will be home to the Broadβs collection of nearly 2,000 works of art, showcasing βone of the worldβs leading collections of masterworks of postwar and contemporary art,β a statement said.
βEdye and I are delighted to welcome everyone to this museum, and we are excited to share the contemporary art in our collection with the public,β Eli Broad said. βWe are pleased to offer free general admission so that affordability isnβt a criteria to see the art.β
