CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY - UPDATE
Crews will continue reconstructing the railroad crossing on Pasadena Ave. in the City of Glendora as part of the 9.1-mile Foothill Gold Line light rail project. This work requires an six week extension of the closure (through March 27, 2022) and is the result of an existing Southern California Edison (SCE) facility within the grade crossing that is currently in conflict with the Gold Line construction. After months of design delays and unforeseen constructability deficiencies by SCE, SCE is now ready to complete the work at the crossing. Edison’s work will take approximately 1 week, ending with an overnight power cut-over on Monday night February 21. KPJV then requires 5 weeks to complete the remaining grade crossing construction work, which includes new track and duct bank installation, new curb & gutter, roadway & median paving, and railroad crossing signals.
