SUMMARY OF APPROVED ORDINANCE 2064

(AS PRESCRIBED BY GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 36933 (c) (1))
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT at their meeting held Tuesday, December 14, 2021, the Glendora City Council approved Ordinance No. 2064, which amends several sections of Glendora Municipal Code Title 6, Health and Sanitation. The ordinance enacts the following regulations and policies:Â
The Ordinance includes requirements for generators to participate in organic waste collection programs or self-haul organic waste to specified facilities for processing; multi-family and business owners and property managers to support organic waste disposal reduction; commercial edible food generators to recover edible food through contracts or written agreements with food recovery organizations and services; and certain recordkeeping, contamination monitoring, procurement and public outreach/education requirements. Adopted regulations also specify new, comprehensive containment, collection, processing and reporting requirements for general solid wastes and non-organic recyclables.

Said ordinance will become effective 30 days after adoption.
The foregoing Ordinance was introduced for first reading on the 26th day of October, 2021. Thereafter, said Ordinance was duly approved and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 14th day of December, 2021, by the following roll call vote:
