DUI Checkpoint Results Released By Glendora Police
The checkpoint was set up to catch people driving under the influence and those without a California driver's license.
GLENDORA, CA — Glendora police held the department's first DUI checkpoint of the year on Friday to look for people driving without a license or under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
One person was arrested on suspicion of DUI and was issued seven citations on other alleged offenses, police said in a statement Monday.
A DUI conviction can result in up to $10,000 in fines and attorney fees, towing costs and DUI classes, according to the Judiciary of California.

Officers also issued citations to 14 people on infractions ranging from driving without a license to driving with a suspended license. The department declined to say where the checkpoint took place.
A grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety funded the checkpoint, the department said.
