Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Metrolink Train

A Metrolink train struck and killed a pedestrian today in the Covina area, authorities said.

The fatality occurred about 7:25 a.m., near Sunflower Avenue and Covina Boulevard, and involved train 311, said Ramon Montenegro of the sheriff’s Transit Services Bureau.

Paramedics pronounced the unidentified person dead at the scene, Montenegro said.
