Reckless Driver Leads Deputies on Pursuit Through San Dimas, Glendora

The 17-year-old minor hit two parked cars in San Dimas and Glendora before he fled on foot.

A reckless driver who led deputies on a vehicle pursuit through San Dimas and Glendora was arrested at gunpoint and taken into custody early Monday morning.

The 17-year-old driver hit a parked car on Covina Avenue and Valley Center in San Dimas at around 12:30 a.m. and fled the scene.

Sheriffs deputies with the San Dimas station located the vehicle and tried to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver continued to evade officers, said Sgt. Dave Grall of the San Dimas Sheriffs station.

The pursuit continued to Glendora where the driver hit a parked car in the 700 block of Bagnall Street.

The driver tried to flee on foot and with the help of a helicopter and Glendora Police, the driver was arrested at gunpoint in the backyard of a residence.

The driver was wanted on several warrants and booked for evading arrest.
