Half Moon Bay History Quiz: What’s This Photo?

Tell us what you know about this historic scene. You could win a prize.

This historic photo was chosen by theΒ Half Moon Bay History Association (HMBHA) for this month's history quizΒ becauseΒ the site has been in the news lately. The structure is no longer there, but something else was built in its place not too long ago.

Do you know where andΒ what this building was, what happened to it and what occupies the site today?

Tell us a brief history of this photo, courtesy of the HMBHA, by writing your answer in the comments section below.

AllΒ correctΒ answers will be entered into a random drawing, which will determine the winner.Β The winner will get a prize: a copy of β€œTreasures of Half Moon Bay” walking guide to historic locations in town (usually sells for a $10 donation to the HMBHA).

Please reply with your answer in the comments section below by Monday, Nov. 18, 2013. The winner will be announced in Half Moon Bay Patch on Friday, Nov. 22 2013.Β
