Half Moon Bay Man Dies In Head-On SMC Collision
The crash involved two trucks, one of which was towing a trailer with a tractor on it, the CHP said.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — A man died Monday evening in unincorporated San Mateo County in a head-on collision between two trucks, one of which was towing a trailer with a tractor on it, law enforcement officials said.
The collision was reported at 5:59 p.m. at state Highway 1 and state Highway 84, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A white 2008 Ford F-150 collided with a 2015 Ford F-350 towing a 28-foot trailer with a tractor on it, CHP spokesman Officer Art Montiel said.

The collision occurred as the F-150 was traveling north on Highway 1 approaching Highway 84 and the F-350 made the left turn from Highway 84 to Highway 1. The driver of the F-150 died. He was a 67-year-old man from Half Moon Bay.
Montiel said the coroner's office will release his name when his family has been told.

All lanes of state Highway 1 were closed from about 6:30 p.m. to about 8:30 p.m. All lanes were open and a Sig-alert was canceled at 10:37 p.m., according to the CHP.
