This series of&nbsp; childrens' classes will introduce the basic techniques and philosophy of Aikido (the Art of Peace), plus skills from other martial arts. Students will learn practical methods of self-defense while increasing balance and mobility. We will also practice situational awareness and techniques to prevent bullying . These classes offer individualized instruction, and no previous martial arts experience is required. We meet Tuesdays &amp; Wednesdays from 4:15 pm - 5:45 pm. Jan.13 – March 11. Students will learn practical methods of self-defense plus ways to apply these principles in daily life. The class offers individualized instruction, and no previous martial arts experience is required. We meet every Tuesday from 5:15 pm - 6:15 pm - Jan.13 – May 19. This class is offered through the Healdsburg Parks and Rec. Dept. and our first class is on Tuesday, January 13. Class fee is $160 -$190. What Moves You? is a contemplative experience of shared spiritual reflection upon a&nbsp;sacred text.
Join us the 2nd&nbsp;Wednesday of every month&nbsp;at 5:30 p.m. as leaders from different faith traditions within Sonoma County guide us based on the practice of Lectio Divina, or “Divine Reading.” We
 will hear a sacred text from the leader’s tradition in a contemplative 
manner, three times through. After each time, we will share responses 
and insights.
November 12 Presenter: Rev. Daniel London, PhD
The Rev. Daniel London, PhD, serves as the rector of Christ Episcopal
 Church in Eureka CA. He earned his doctorate in Christian Spirituality 
at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley and is a certified Forest 
Therapy Guide. He is the author of Theodicy and Spirituality in the Fourth Gospel&nbsp;and Spiritual Friendship Distilled.
 He served as a Visiting Scholar at the College of St. John the 
Evangelist in Auckland New Zealand and teaches courses for Church 
Divinity School of the Pacific and Bexley Seabury Seminary.&nbsp;He serves as
 the Ecumenical and Interreligious Officer for the Episcopal&nbsp;Diocese of 
Northern California and lives in the Transfiguration House in Eureka CA 
with his wife Ashley London Bacchi and their two Yorkies, Seabury and 
Gubbio.
