Mira Costa Senior Earns MVP Honors for South Bay

Mira Costa senior basketball player Thomas Johnson has been awarded MVP honors for the South Bay team in the Dream All-Star Challenge.

The challenge, in which South Bay high school basketball faces Long Beach basketball, was held at Millikan High School in Long Beach.

In the boys basketball game, Long Beach defeated our local stars 97-90. But Johnson, however, was a powerful force, finishing with 29 points, 18 rebounds and five assists.

Johnson reportedly shared team honors with Miles Green of Hawthorne.
