The checkpoint marked the department’s third this year, police said. Across all three checkpoints, police said they made 58 arrests: 28 for DUI and 30 for driving without a license or a suspended license.

“These totals are unfortunate,” police said. “One DUI is one too many.”

If people are under the influence or unlicensed, they should use ride-share or find alternative transportation, police said.
