The County Clerk's office is giving a special Valentine's Day present to local lovebirds who want to tie the knot Monday.
Couples will not have to make an appointment for civil ceremonies performed on the holiday.
While couples can easily complete marriage applications online and obtain a marriage license at any time, the county normally requires appointments for ceremonies.

“Valentine’s Day is always our busiest day of the year for weddings,” said Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk Dean Logan in a statement Wednesday. “In an effort to provide the highest level of service to couples wishing to marry on Feb. 14, we are providing them the opportunity to obtain a marriage license and to be wed in a civil ceremony that same day.”
The bureau will issue marriage licenses and perform ceremonies at each of its seven locations. The office closest to Hermosa Beach is the LAX Courthouse.
