Hermosa Valley School third-grade student Holden Orias placed third overall in the national 2011 Math Kangaroo competition.
Holden will be awarded a bronze medal for his achievement at Hermosa Valley on Friday, during the school's flag ceremony.
The Math Kangaroo competition is structured as a multiple-choice test and administered across the country. Holden earned 1st Place in 2010.
