Applications for Hermosa Beach St. Patrick's Day Parade Due Friday

The parade draws more than 15,000 spectators each year.

HERMOSA BEACH, CA -- Applications to participate in the 23rd annual Hermosa Beach Saint Patrick's Day Parade is due this Friday, the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau announced.

Applications to participate are due by Friday, Feb. 17 at 5 p.m. and can be found online at hbchamber.net.

More than 100 local businesses, civic organizations and school marching bands take part in the seven-block parade down Pier Avenue, according to the HBCCVB.

The Irish theme of Saint Patrick’s Day is celebrated by all the participants including bagpipers from the Emerald Society, floats, horses and four-legged friends from the Irish Setters Club of Southern California.

The parade begins at the staging area near City Hall on Valley Drive, makes a left onto Pier Avenue and ends at the corner of Hermosa Avenue and 10th Street.
