AT&T Site Shows Hermosa Network Upgrades

The new AT&T site features updates on network enhancements in Hermosa Beach and the surrounding Los Angeles area.

Hermosa Beach AT&T customers can now view up-to-date network enhancements in the South Bay through the company's new interactive online map, a representative announced last week.

The new microsite, which features a neighborhood-level view of AT&T's network improvements, is updated weekly to reflect new cell sites, internet speed upgrades, and connection upgrades, according to AT&T representative Meredith Red.

The launch of the new website comes six months after AT&T's cellular service was ranked the lowest in customer satisfaction for the second year in a row in a Consumer Reports survey of 66,000 cell service subscribers.

In Hermosa Beach, the map shows the company has completed 10 network upgrades since January 2011 including six capacity upgrades and four network connection upgrades.

According to the site, capacity upgrades help improve service quality and reduce dropped calls while network connection upgrades help enable 4G speeds on compatible phones.

"The microsite provides an unparalleled view, unlike any other in the industry, of what AT&T is doing to enhance the customer experience," said Red.
