Chamber Mulls Improvements After Fiesta Hermosa Generated Less-Than-Expected Revenue

The money raised from the festival helps the Chamber pay for it is staff, rent and community festivities.

HERMOSA BEACH, CA -- After taking less than expected for its annual Fiesta Hermosa festival, the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau is looking into making improvements, according to the Beach Reporter.

The festival, which takes over downtown Hermosa Beach for two weekends each summer, netted $335,499 for the Chamber, according to the Beach Reporter. The amount is a slight dip from previous years, according to the Beach Reporter.

The money raised from the festival helps the Chamber pay for it is staff, rent, community festivities -- including the annual State of the City address, according to the Beach Reporter.

“From this fiesta, we gain an operating fund, which allows the chamber to operate but also to provide a lot of services and donations back to the city,” Chamber president Kimberlee MacMullan told the City Council at its meeting last week, as reported by the Beach Reporter.
