Residents weigh in on community garden possibilities and seeing food trucks in Hermosa Beach.

Hermosa Beach city officials have decided to further study and gather resident feedback concerning a possible community garden and food truck policy.

The Hermosa Beach Parks and Recreation Commission to meet with the ad hoc Hermosa Beach Community Garden Committee as the group further studies possible locations for the proposed garden.
One Patch reader opposed the idea of a community garden altogether, but Patch columnist Joe Galliani responded that the need for a garden is unquestionable:

- You want a garden, buy a home with a space for a garden. — .
- Sixty percent of Hermosa residents are renters, many do not own a home with space for a garden. In addition, many of the private homes in Hermosa do not have space for a vegetable-fruit tree garden to produce locally grown, healthy food. Community gardens are hugely popular across not only California but all around the country. While the best location for where the community garden should go is up for debate, the benefits and need for a community garden are not. — .
Food Truck Talk
The Hermosa Beach Parks and Recreation Commission planned Tuesday , as instructed by the City Council.
