Hermosa Beach Boy Killed in Skiing Accident
Logan Goodwin died after striking a tree stump on a beginner's course at the Breckenridge Ski Resort in Colorado, authorities said.

HERMOSA BEACH, CA -- A 12-year-old Hermosa Beach boy died this weekend after striking a tree stump in a skiing accident in Colorado, authorities said Monday.
The boy, identified as Logan Goodwin, struck a tree stump Saturday afternoon on a beginner's course at the Breckenridge Ski Resort, the Summit County Sheriff's Department said.
Goodwin was airlifted to Children's Hospital in Aurora where he died Sunday.

The boy was wearing a helmet but died from blunt force injuries to his abdomen, according to the Summit County coroner’s office.
This is the fifth death this season at the Breckenridge Ski Resort, according to the Summit Daily.
