HERMOSA BEACH, CA -- After a cameo in "La La Land," the Hermosa Beach Pier is doing what most everyone in Hollywood does -- it's considering a makeover.
In the film, Ryan Gosling can be seen singing and dancing on the iconic pier, complete with vintage-looking street lamps lining both sides. Now, Hermosa Beach Councilman Jeff Duclos, enamored by the look, wants to the city to install those lamps, which don't exist in real life, according to the Daily Breeze.
He has asked city staff to file a report on the possibility of installing those lamps, the Daily Breeze reported.

“It’s an inspiring movie, it’s a very positive movie,” Duclos told the City Council, the Daily Breeze reported. “It presents Hermosa Beach in just the best possible light.”
The pier is in need of improvements, including installing the lights, and the movie has pushed it to the forefront, according to Duclos.
