Hermosa Beach Giving Free Sandbags to Residents
The Hermosa Beach Public Works Department is giving out 10 free sandbags to residents with valid IDs at the city yard.

HERMOSA BEACH, CA -- In preparation for the coming storms, the Hermosa Beach Public Works Department is giving out 10 free sandbags to residents.
You need to have a valid ID to pick the sandbags at the city yard, located at 555 Sixth Street. Sandbags may be picked up from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday.
The Hermosa Beach Fire Department will also have a limited supply of sandbags to give out during the times when the city yard is closed. Sandbags are available from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.

To arrange for pick up at the fire department, call (310) 376-2479. When you arrive, the fire department advises you to ring the doorbell, located under the emergency phone line, to let firefighters know you're there.
