Hermosa Beach to Install Temporary Beach Access Path for People with Disabilities

The path will be used for special events in the summer and will stretch out 60 feet.

HERMOSA BEACH, CA -- The Hermosa Beach City Public Works Commission has approved a portable access path to allow people with disabilities, parents with strollers and the elderly easier access to the beach, according to the Beach Reporter.

The money used to purchase the $6,000 portable access path was from the funds for ADA improvements, the Beach Reporter reported.

The temporary access path is a pilot program while the commission explores options for a permanent walkway, similar to Manhattan Beach's "Pathway to the Sea," according to Beach Reporter.
