Video: School Board Candidates Discuss Gang Violence at Luther Burbank Middle School

The questions asked by community members during a LAUSD District 5 candidates forum at in Highland Park on Wednesday mostly focused on city-wide issues.

How would candidates deal with impending budget cuts? Would they defend arts programs? What is their plan for addressing declining enrollment due to upstart charter schools?

The Los Angeles Police Department around Burbank because the community is concerned that children do not feel safe on their way to the school.
